RDC reprogramming to RPA

We perform software modification of the RDC tire pressure monitoring system in RPA.

How does the RDC system work? The system consists of four sensors, one in each wheel. These sensors transmit the following information to the control unit via radio signal:● air pressure;● tire temperature.
Why do BMW owners often disable RDC?Each sensor has a built-in power source (battery). Over time, the battery discharges, and the sensor fails. In this case, they need to be replaced (usually all four at once).
The cost of an original BMW sensor is about $100 each, plus:● tire fitting services;● software synchronization of the sensors with the vehicle.
This makes RDC repair quite expensive.
Alternative — RPA systemTo significantly reduce costs, we can reprogram the system from RDC to RPA (Reifen Pannen Anzeige).
How does RPA work?RPA does not use pressure sensors but analyzes data from the ABS sensors. When the tire pressure drops, the tire loses its shape, the wheel diameter decreases, and it starts rotating faster than the others. The system detects this difference and notifies the driver of a possible pressure drop.
Remote RDC to RPA reprogrammingWe can perform the system reprogramming remotely. For this, you need:● a laptop with internet access,● an ENET cable for connecting to the vehicle.
