We perform SME module recovery on all BMW i Series vehicles.

The SME (Energy Management Electronics) module is responsible for regulating and coordinating energy flow to the high-voltage lithium-ion battery in BMW i Series vehicles. It also monitors key battery status parameters.
In the event of a collision, the safety system is triggered and three pyrofuses inside the SME module (located within the battery pack) are blown. A CRASH error is recorded in the processor memory. After this, the vehicle becomes inoperable, and a warning message appears on the screen.
Possible solutions:● Purchase a brand-new SME module (approx. €1300), remove the battery, install the new module, and program it to the vehicle. Total cost may reach around $2000.● Remove the battery, take out the SME module, and send it to us for recovery.
