What is an OEM FSC Repair Kit used for?
An OEM FSC Repair Kit is a set of original BMW factory FSC codes generated for a specific VIN. It contains FSC codes that were already activated for that vehicle and is used to restore their original factory status.
A Repair Kit may be required after replacing, programming or repairing an electronic control unit if its FSC codes have been deleted, damaged, lost or have an incorrect status. Without the correct FSC codes, certain vehicle functions may be unavailable and related faults may be stored in the control units.
Importing the correct OEM FSC Repair Kit restores the factory FSC codes assigned to the vehicle VIN. The kit does not activate new options and is not intended for retrofits — it only restores FSC codes that already belong to the specific vehicle.
