Remote Engine Start Repair After Chip Tuning

Remote Engine Start Repair After Chip Tuning BMW at BIMFIX

What is BMW Remote Engine Start?

Remote Engine Start (option 1CR) is a factory BMW function that allows the engine to be started remotely before entering the vehicle. While near the vehicle and within key range, the driver presses the lock button with the BMW logo three times in succession.

On vehicles that support this function, the engine starts and the climate control system automatically begins cooling or heating the cabin according to the selected temperature. This allows the vehicle to be prepared for the trip in advance.

After chip tuning, option 1CR — Remote Engine Start — may stop working because of changes made to the DME control unit software.

We restore the Remote Engine Start function in the DME flash file. You send us the flash file read from the DME control unit, we perform the required software repair and return the ready file. After the file is written back to the DME, Remote Engine Start works again.

How it works

● you read the flash file from the DME control unit;
● you send the file to us;
● we restore the 1CR function in the file;
● we return the repaired flash file;
● you write the file back to the DME, after which Remote Engine Start works again.

This service is specifically intended for the software restoration of the factory 1CR Remote Engine Start function after chip tuning.
